Risky communication online
While most children enjoy communicating online, for those with peer problems offline, internet use may increase risky communication (3 pages)
Digital Literacy and Safety Skills
As digital skills develop with use, inequalities persist – in terms of socio-economic status, age and, to a lesser degree, gender. (4 pages)
Social Networking, Age and Privacy
38 per cent of 9-12-year-olds use social networking sites in Europe; one in five of the age group having a profile on Facebook. Then examines whether 9-16 year users set their privacy settings, disclose personal information or obey their parents on social networking sites. (13 pages)
